complete 與 finish 的區別

2012年，在倫敦舉行的語言大賽中，圭亞那選手Samsundar Balgobin 在回答比賽中最後一道問題「你如何用一種容易讓人理解的方式解釋 complete與finished的區別」時，給出他的答案：

When you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETE.
 （娶對老婆，一輩子完美 。）
When you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED. 
（娶到歹某，一世人完了。）
And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are COMPLETELY FINISHED.
 （讓大某逮到你跟小三，你徹底完蛋。）

擔任評委的世界一流語言學家將桂冠戴在了這位選手的頭上，獎品是環遊世界一週和一箱25年窖齡的朗姆酒，全場觀眾和評委為他起立鼓掌達五分鐘。
